Bunny Bread

Cute little dinner roll shaped into a bunny. Perfect for Easter dinner

2 ½ to 3 cups flour -divided
1/3 cup sugar
1 package or 2 1/4 tsp yeast
3/4 tsp salt
1/3 cup milk
1/3 cup water
1/4 cup margarine or butter, cut in chunks
1 egg room temperature

In a large mixing bowl mix well 1 cup flour, sugar, yeast and set aside. Heat milk, water and butter until liquids are warm (the butter doesn't have to melt all the way) add to flour mixture and beat until smooth. Add the egg and 1 cup of flour and beat until dough is thick and smooth. Stir in enough remaining flour to make a soft dough and turn out onto floured surface and knead 5 to 8 minutes more. Shape into a smooth ball and place in greased bowl turning greased side up.  Cover and let rise in a war draft-free place 1 to 1 1/4 hours. Punch down and kneaded lightly, cover and let rest 5 minutes. Shape into bunnies and place on baking sheet and let ride until doubled.

Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 12 to 15 minutes or until lightly browned.
